What is a Klass fascia system, and why replace it?
Klass fascia is an older aluminium fascia and internal gutter system fitted to many New Zealand homes. When the internal gutter fails, water can track inside the fascia line rather than away from the house. We remove the existing Klass fascia and install a timber fascia with flashings to waterproof your property, deleting the internal gutter system and getting the water away from the building.
Timber or colour steel fascia: which do I need?
Both are options and each suits different homes. We are one of only a few companies that offer continuous colour steel fascia, and we also build timber fascia with flashings, which is what a Klass replacement typically uses. We will recommend the right one when we see the roofline.
Do you replace fascia and spouting together?
Usually, yes. New spouting has to fix to the fascia, so if the fascia is tired it makes sense to do it first or at the same time. Doing both in one visit also keeps the colours matched and the cost down.
